Matt's List Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

Account and contractor information:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number, if provided
• Company or contractor profile information
• Login and account identifiers
• Contractor verification information
• Verification documents or supporting materials, if submitted

Client and project information:

• Client/customer records entered by contractors
• Project records and job history
• Client experience reports
• Payment, communication, project, and behavior-related details submitted by contractors
• Supporting documentation or evidence uploaded by contractors

App usage and search information:

• Client searches
• Saved client records
• Search-credit state
• Subscription or billing status
• Account activity and administrative actions

Support and communication information:

• Messages sent to Matt's List support
• Account, billing, verification, or report-related requests

Technical information:

• Device, browser, and session information
• Admin app notification tokens, if an administrator enables native push alerts
• IP address and security logs
• Diagnostic, performance, and error information

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Verify contractor access
• Provide client search and reporting features
• Store contractor-submitted client experience records
• Show relevant client reports to authenticated, verified contractors
• Manage billing state, search credits, and subscription access
• Prevent abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse
• Review reports, verification materials, and support requests
• Maintain, secure, debug, and improve Matt's List
• Comply with legal, security, and operational requirements

3. Visibility of Client Records and Reports

Matt's List is not a public review site. Client records, project records, experience reports, and supporting materials are not exposed through public lookup pages.

However, client records and experience reports may be visible to authenticated, verified contractors and authorized administrators through the Matt's List contractor/admin workspace, depending on account permissions and product features.

4. Uploaded Documents and Evidence

Verification documents, contractor uploads, and supporting documentation are stored in private infrastructure. These materials may be accessed through signed URLs or other controlled access methods for review, support, moderation, verification, or administrative purposes.

5. Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Matt's List. These may include:

• Supabase for database, authentication, storage, and backend infrastructure
• Vercel for hosting and deployment
• Stripe for billing, subscription, and payment-related services
• Resend or similar providers for transactional email
• Apple for iOS app distribution and, if applicable, Apple account or purchase-related services
• Analytics, logging, or diagnostic providers, if used to monitor reliability and performance

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Matt's List.

6. Billing and Payment Information

Matt's List may synchronize billing status, subscription status, payment metadata, and related account information through Stripe or other payment providers.

We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers when payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

7. Data Security

We use private infrastructure, access controls, authentication, signed URLs, and other technical measures designed to protect account data, contractor records, client records, uploaded documents, and administrative information.

No online service can guarantee complete security, but we work to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, and disclosure.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Matt's List, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and support account functionality.

Some records may be retained after account deletion if retention is reasonably necessary for security, legal, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

9. Account and Privacy Requests

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their account information by contacting:

We may need to verify the requester's identity before completing certain requests. Deleting an account may limit or remove access to Matt's List features.

The public deletion-request page is available at /account/delete for users who no longer have app access.

10. Children's Privacy

Matt's List is intended for business use by contractors and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.
